GOVERNANCE
Purpose Clause
"To establish and maintain a perpetual, decentralized, and truth-based identity infrastructure for the welfare of companion animals, ensuring that such infrastructure remains free from encirclement by proprietary interests."
Trustee Authority
The Trustees serve as guardians of the Canon. Their powers are strictly limited:
- Veto Power: Trustees may veto any operational action by the Foundation that violates the Canon or threatens the integrity of the Trust's assets.
- Non-Operating: Trustees are prohibited from engaging in day-to-day operations or commercial ventures using Trust assets.
Mission Lock Doctrine
The specific identity schemas and verification protocols (The Canon) are property of the Trust. This ownership structure ensures that the definition of "truth" within the ecosystem cannot be captured, diluted, or monetized by private actors.
Amendment Protocol
The Canon is immutable in its core principles. Technical adaptations (Version increments) require dual-key authorization from both the Trust (Governance Review) and the Foundation (Operational Validity).
